I decided to google mechanical and spatial aptitude and saw that men tend to have higher mechanical skills and interests than women do. I learned this soon after looking at the Focus on the Family facebook page where everyone was sharing their comments about gender problems and talking about "hating the sin and loving the sinner," which seems like exactly the advice I should apply to myself now that I am aware of my sinful tendencies towards understanding hammers and nails. I think since my spatial aptitude does not match my biological gender that I will really need to forgive myself every time I use a can opener or perceive anything visually, or even turn the key to get in my apartment. Hopefully I can also counter this disgrace by buying only pink appliances, and especially by trying to let all my skills atrophy so I won't accidentally multiply a talent that God wants me to bury.

Nails
At a recent voc rehab evaluation, I took a bunch of tests, and it turns out that I am good at
mechanics. I never knew that, but after
one little test full of lever and pulley diagrams, I feel like I all of a
sudden have some concept of how everything works. It is a fun feeling and I feel proud of
myself.
